Prosper - Darwin Prostate Cancer Support Group
Prosper was formed in 1998 thanks to the late Keith Williams whose efforts to find a local support group for men impacted by prostate cancer in Darwin were fruitless.
With the support from both the Department of Veteran Affairs and the Vietnam Veterans’ Counselling Services, during the early days, Prosper has made it to where it is today.
The Prosper group was named so, thanks to the reason the group was created: Pros(tate Cancer) and because we are all per(sons) impacted by this disease and together we are prospering.
We meet on the second Monday monthly (excluding January and any Monday falling on a public holiday) at 7:30pm in the Harbour Room, Christ Church Cathedral, Smith Street, Darwin.
We are very keen to see other men, family members and carers with prostate problems, so join us and stop doing it 'solo'.
Top End Mud Racing Association
(TEMRA)
Rhonda is a proud member of Top End Mud Racing since 2011, not only did she help her husband navigate as they go flying around the track in the "Dirty Dolphin".
Rhonda was involved as a Committee member for 10 years as the Volunteer Co-Ordinator, Rhonda was at every working bee, helping out on the Committee and looking after all the volunteers/officials, security guards, cleaners and St John Ambulance crew.
This earned her the prestigious Motorsports Volunteer of the Year Award 14/15 season and Presidents Club trophy 15/16 season.
This 22/23 season Rhonda was up for the challenge of competing against her husband in the "Muddy Mermaid".
Unfortunately, due to mechanical issues, both vehicles have been unable to continue competing this season so Rhonda has put her passion and focus on starting Right Choice Real Estate NT and her competitive nature will help to sell your home for the best possible price in today's market.
